Zaki Musa
Zaki is a former competitive sailor who discovered a love for movement through a wide range of dance disciplines — and now spends most of their time in the air. With over 13 years of coaching experience, Zaki coaches on the degree program at the National Centre for Circus Arts and also to a wide range of levels across London, specialising in aerial and creative movement. They lecture on contemporary circus, focusing on developing artistry through movement, building from strong technical foundations, and fostering a supportive learning environment. Zaki works closely with each student to help them develop skills at every stage of their journey. As a performer, Zaki has taken their work to stages around the world, earning recognition for powerful, fashion-forward routines that blend queer spectacle with grace, strength, and a touch of playful irreverence. They also have an artistic practice looking at queer and non-white identity and censorship in the age of generative AI, and plays the trombone in their spare time.
